Dash repairs appliances all over Holladay, from Holladay Village, the city’s downtown, to Knudsen’s Corner in the southeast. Your technician pins down the problem, then gives a flat price. The choice to go ahead is yours. We're family owned and operated. We service most major brands, like Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire and Maytag.

Many homes in and around Holladay buy their water from Holliday Water Company, by the share. Each water meter on its system needs one share of the company’s stock. The company serves 14,912 people from its own wells and springs, plus water it buys from Salt Lake City. Each share comes with 60,000 gallons of free water a year. Only 10,000 of those gallons come in each winter quarter, and anything past that is billed. A slow leak behind a fridge or washer can use up the winter water before anyone notices. The first question below shows how to check.

How can I tell if my fridge or washer is leaking water I can’t see?

Start at your water meter. The EPA says to read it before and after a two-hour stretch when no water is being used. If it changes at all, you probably have a leak. If your fridge makes ice or has a water dispenser, look behind it at the small line that feeds them. Then check the two hoses behind the washer. The EPA says the average home’s leaks waste more than 9,300 gallons a year. That’s close to the 10,000 gallons a Holliday Water share gets free in each winter quarter.

Can my washer and dishwasher help me stay inside my water share?

They can, if your home has a Holliday Water share. The company’s own tips say to run the clothes washer and dishwasher only when they’re full. It says that saves up to 1,000 gallons a month. For laundry, it says to match the water level to the size of the load. And if your dishwasher is new, it says to cut back on rinsing first, since newer models clean more thoroughly than older ones.

Who picks up an old fridge or washer in Holladay?

The garbage district will, if you book a bulky-item pickup. The City of Holladay is served by Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District. For a fee, the district will collect eligible bulky items curbside. Its fee schedule from April 2026 lists $20 per household pickup. Each Freon appliance (a fridge or a freezer, say) adds $25, and each one without Freon, such as a washer, adds $10. Don’t leave a Freon appliance in a seasonal container, either. The district assesses $50 per unit.
