How we serve West Jordan
Dash comes to every part of West Jordan. We work around Gardner Village and Jordan Landing and near the South Valley Regional Airport. We also cover the newer homes up in Copper Hills. The visit begins with a diagnosis, and you know the total for the repair before a single part is changed. We're family owned and operated. We service most major brands, like Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire and Maytag.
West Jordan gives its water customers two tools for appliance leaks. Its My Water Advisor app can notify you of a leak during the month. And once you’ve fixed a leak, the city can review your bill for an adjustment. Most of West Jordan’s homes also date from 1970 to 1999: 57% of them, with 1995 as the median year. If yours still has its first dryer duct, check what it’s made of. The questions below cover both, and the city’s free Dumpster Days.

West Jordan questions
Answered from public sources, not Dash's own jobs.
A leak behind the washer ran up my water bill. Can West Jordan adjust it?
It can review it. West Jordan’s water page says that once you’ve fixed a leak, you can ask for a bill review. Its Leak Adjustment Request Form starts it. So stop the leak first: close the washer’s water valves, or the valve on the fridge’s water line. Get it repaired, and keep the receipt. To catch the next one sooner, join the city’s My Water Advisor. The city says it shows your water use during the month and notifies you of leaks, before the bill arrives.

What kind of duct should run behind the dryer in my West Jordan home?
Metal. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says to replace plastic or foil accordion-style duct. Use rigid or corrugated semi-rigid metal duct instead, the kind most dryer makers specify. Plastic and foil duct traps lint more easily, and it kinks or crushes, which can greatly cut the airflow. Lint that blocks the air can overheat a dryer and start a fire. The CPSC also says to clean the vent and duct from time to time.

Where can I drop off an old appliance in West Jordan for free?
At the city’s Dumpster Days. West Jordan holds three a year at its Public Works yard, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for residents and city employees. Bring proof, like a driver’s license or a utility bill. The city’s garbage page lists the dates. The dumpsters take a limited number of appliances, but nothing with Freon, so no fridges or freezers. The city’s rental dumpsters bar refrigerators too. Take those to the Trans-Jordan landfill, where refrigerant removal adds $20 apiece.
